These Terms and Conditions are valid from 1st January 2016 and supersede any prior version. The acceptance of these Terms and Conditions are expressly agreed to by the Client and form an integral part of any commission undertaken.
Amendments: Any modifications, revisions or additions by the Client to the text to be translated, once translation work has begun, will be counted as additional work and invoiced accordingly.
Cancellation: Once work has started the Client will pay a cancellation fee of R$ 50,00 plus compensation at the agreed rate for any work already undertaken, up to a maximum value of the total commission less R$ 50,00.
Commission: The commission for the translation is established solely between the Translator and the Client and payment of the Translator´s fee is not subject to review, approval or payment via any third party.
Confidentiality: The Translator undertakes to treat any information acquired in the course of the work as confidential and shall not disclose such information to any third party without prior consent from the Client.
Copyright: The Client consents to have the material translated and assures that such will not infringe copyright. The Client agrees to indemnify and defend the Translator against any action that results from a breach of this condition.
Liability: In any event the liability of the Translator shall not exceed the value paid for the translation. The Translator will not be liable for alterations made to the translation by third parties.
Payment: Payment should be made within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of issue of the invoice unless specifically agreed otherwise. The Translator reserves the right to invoice the Client for any bank charges which may be incurred.
