Affect and Effect

The use of these two words can cause confusion. The main difference is that “affect” is used as a verb and “effect” is mainly used as a noun.

For instance, “Cupid´s arrow affected her and the effect was shattering!”

Affect means: “to influence something”

Effect means: “the result of something”
