When the language police get it wrong!

The preservation of language diversity is an important aspect of preserving various cultures around the world but  sometimes good intentions can go too far.

In Quebec it has taken a five month investigation and a  public out cry to clear an Italian restaurant of using too many non-French words – on its Italian restaurant menu and to subsequently change language policing policy for ethnic restaurants within the city!
